Marolt named to USOC board of directors
COLORADO SPRINGS U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association President and CEO Bill Marolt was named Dec. 20 to the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) board of directors. He will serve a four-year term as a representative of the National Governing Bodies Council.
A 1964 Olympian, Marolt has led the USSA since 1996, playing an active role during that time with both the USOC and International Ski Federation. In his career he has worked at all levels of sport from athlete to coach to program director and National Governing Body leader.
"Olympism is a very positive and powerful message that brings all of us together to help athletes achieve their Olympic dreams," he said. "I’m deeply honored with this opportunity to share my experience as an Olympian and a National Governing Body leader with the U.S. Olympic Committee."
