McDonald’s to have new look for spring
Major changes have been underway at the Kimball Junction McDonald’s restaurant this winter.
Corporate spokesperson Barbara Schmeitt said the project is an exterior renovation following up on an interior remodel completed six months ago.
The restaurant continues to operate during the work.
Owned by the Young family, the McDonald’s was one of the first businesses in Kimball Junction. A more contemporary look was due, she said. The new interior includes fire places and more modern décor. Customer response was so positive owner Mark Young decided to give the exterior new stone and stucco.
The project is expected to be complete by April 15. A grand reopening will follow soon afterward, she said.
