Mity Mites edge Skyline

Brodie Pollard, Special to The Park Record

On Saturday, Sept. 15 at Skyline High School, the Park City Mity Mites (11 year olds) narrowly defeated Skyline 14-13 in overtime.

Skyline took an early lead with a touchdown in the first quarter. Park City managed to hold them off until the third quarter when Max Meza evened the score with a touchdown.

Both teams had a great defensive game with Park City showing particularly strong outside containment by Hank Records, Jake Avery, Ray Rivera and Reed Dolph. Park City’s inside containment was ever present with Blake Runkle, the Mity Mites solitary x-man. Park City battled on to win in overtime by a single point.

The Mity Mites will face Grantsville at Ecker Hill this Saturday at 9 a.m.
