No consolation for PCHS baseball team

Continuing their penchant for late-inning drama, the Park City High School baseball team was eliminated from the Class 3A state tournament consolation bracket when a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh gave Bear River a 12-11 win at Kearns High School.

The Miners (15-8) got to Bear River early and often Thursday night, with one run in the first and six in the second. But PCHS didn’t score again until the sixth inning, while Bear River totaled five in the bottom of the fourth to tie it at seven.

Park City was outhit 11-9, while committing two more errors (four) than their opponent. Senior David Feasler, heading to play college ball at Occidental College in los Angeles, took the loss.

Junior Connor Howard, senior Parker Ruttan, and junior Skyler Barkdull each knocked doubles for the Miners.
