North Summit Braves rundown

The Braves suffered a tough loss 14-7 to Duchesne on Friday. After giving up two touchdowns in the first half, they managed to keep the Eagles scoreless during the second half. Meanwhile, the Braves put points on the board when center Brayden Tholen ran the ball eight yards on a pass from quarterback Keegan McQueen. Kicker Chandler Simkins made good on the extra point.
Their next game will be played on Friday, Sept. 18, at North Sevier.
The Lady Braves defeated Wasatch 3-1 on Sept. 3. Seniors Taylor Shepherd and McKenzee Murdock each had 11 kills, and junior setter Cassidy Stephens had 36 assists.
Results of their match at home against Maeser Prep on Tuesday were not available at press time.

The golf team played on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Waterford’s home course, Mountain View Golf Course in Salt Lake. They played Maeser, L.C.A, South Summit, Rowland Hall, and Waterford. Makay Stephens and Chris Robinson shot 90 and 91 respectively.
The golf team will play Maeser Prep today.
Sophomore Erica Birk placed second at Soldier Hollow on Sept. 12. Birk has three first place finishes so far this year.
The Braves will host the next meet on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
