The 24th annual Oakley City Christmas lighting contest will be held on Dec. 17 and 18. Lights should be on by 6 p.m. on both nights in order to participate in the judging process.
About 75 people participate in the lighting contest each year. "Christmas lights are a big deal around here," Oakley City Planner and Treasurer Tammi Stevenson said.
