Robert Parker Swank of Park City passed away Jan. 26, 2007 following a brief illness involving cancer. For the past 33 years, Bobby was the husband, "pal" and love of Elizabeth Swank. He was born in Orange, Calif., in 1933 to Robert Potter and Alice Parker Swank.

Robert attended UCLA where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He completed his undergraduate studies at Chapman University in Orange, while serving in the Air Force National Guard and working as an Orange County Deputy Sheriff.

His corporate career included Disneyland, the Disneyland Hotel, Beckman Institute, and Phillip Morris, Inc.’s subsidiary the Mission Viejo Company, from which he retired in 1993. Following retirement, Bob spent time at the Ironwood Country Club, Palm Desert, Calif., and later at the Park City Country Club, studying and working on his golf game. He had a lifelong passion supporting the "gutsy little" UCLA Bruins football teams, which extended to all UCLA sports’ competitions.

Robert is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Shelby Swank Lindsay, cousin Charles Parker and nieces, Kathleen Mones and Colleen Geary. Robert was a lifelong member of the California Highway Patrol 1199 Foundation, an organization dedicated to the welfare of patrol persons and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 1199 Foundation, 2244 North State College Blvd., Fullerton, Calif. 92831.
