Darrell William "Budd" Huff, age 75, was called home to his Father in Heaven on May 30, 2007, due to surgical complications. He died with dignity and peace with his family by his side.
He was born on April 11, 1932, in Spanish Fork, to Wanda May Hancock and Arnold William Huff. He and three brothers were raised by his stepfather, Mont Schoenfeld. He graduated from South High School and attended Stevens-Henager College. He married his sweetheart, Donna Christie Perry, on Feb. 3, 1951, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked at Western Paper as a salesman for 30 years.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in numerous callings, which included the bishopric, High Council and as Stake President of the Park City Stake. At the time of his death, he served as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River temple. He had a great love for his family and the gospel and was a friend to all.
Budd is survived by his wife, Donna, South Jordan; daughter, Cheri Hintze; three grandsons: Jeremy (Janeen), Christopher (Stephanie), Michael (Katrina); six great grandchildren; and brother, Duane (Linda) Schoenfeld. He is now reunited with his son Michael, his parents and two brothers, Frank and Jerry.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2007, 11 a.m. at South Jordan River 2nd Ward, 10400 So. 1540 W. Friends may call Sunday 5 to 7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
