Thomas Glenn Wood Sr.
Thomas "Tom" Glenn Wood Sr., age 50, passed away at his home in Park City on Monday, June 4, 2007. He was born Sept. 9, 1956, in Sacramento, Calif., to Stewart Glenn Wood and Betty Grace McOmber Wood. He married Elizabeth Wilson on May 24, 1986, in Danville, Calif.
Tom obtained his amateur radio license at age 13, a hobby he enjoyed into adulthood. He reshaped his life around snowboarding, a hobby he learned when he was 45. After moving to Park City from Granite Bay, Calif., he was with his family up on the slopes numerous times throughout the season. Whether it was opening day and only one run was open, or it was closing day and the snow was mush, he could be found on the mountain. He spent the last 10 years working as a program manager at Intel. He traveled the world with his work. He had strong computer skills that he used at work and at home and was fondly called "Tech Support." He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Betsy; son Thomas Wood, Jr. and daughter Emily, all of Park City; and his parents of Lincoln, Calif.
Services were held Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Park City Community Church, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom’s name to the Christian Center of Park City, PO Box 683480, Park City, Utah 84068.
