Darwin Bronson Schear, age 95, of Circleville, Utah, passed away Monday, May 8, 2006, at his son’s home. He was born March 2, 1911, in Midway, to George and Mary Bronson Schear. He married Thora McAffee, Aug. 8, 1932, in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1987, after nearly 55 years of marriage.
Darwin experienced a lot of change in his lifetime, from seeing the first car come to Midway, to what it is today. He worked in the mines and drove truck all of his life. The first milk truck he owned and operated was hauling milk cans. He loved to fish with his wife and grandkids. Darwin always had a joke to tell and always wore a smile. He loved his family very much and always enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his son, Gary Schear of Circleville; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Afton Schear of St. George; and sister Doris (George) Santos of Salmon, Idaho. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thora; daughter, Sharlene Lloyd; brothers and sisters: Clark, Alta, Melva, Randall, Cynthia, Everice; grandsons: Johnny Lloyd, Douglas Lloyd and Bradley Schear.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 12, 2006, in the Midway LDS Second Ward, 250 East 200 South, Midway. Interment followed in the Midway City Cemetery.
