Our loving mother and grandmother, Marie Lewis Giles, age 89, passed away July 7, 2006, in Heber City. She was born June 25, 1917, in Heber City to Rowe Lewis and Sarah Evelyn Ivie Lewis. She married Russell K. Giles on Nov. 30, 1930 in Charleston. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Marie was a member of the LDS church. She loved to have visitors and to travel with her husband before he died. Her family was very important to her, and she loved to spend as much time with them as possible.

She is survived by her children: Laura (Al) Blonquist of Coalville and Evelyn (Doug) Harding of Seguin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell, daughter Peggy, son-in-law Jestine; sisters Hazel, Mabel and Gladys; brothers Glen and Malin.

The family wishes to thank hospice nurses Charlie, George and Sara for their loving care and the staff at the Beehive Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber City, with interment in the Heber City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be sent to the family at:
