Obituary
Dave Borden, age 69, a former Park City resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, in Salt Lake City. He was born Aug. 2, 1937, to William Roscoe Borden and Mary Katherine Skeen. He married Louise C. Borden on May 25, 1957, in Elko, Nev. She preceded him in death.
He was a career truck driver, and honored with a safety award for "A Million Miles without an Accident."
Dave was a gentle man, who loved the great outdoors. He was active in service to his church. Most of all, he loved being a grandpa.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Gail and Tim Ward, of Las Vegas; grandson, Liam Michael Ward, of Las Vegas; and sisters: Mary Frost, Jane Ellen Turner and Lawanda Ortiz.
A memorial service will be held today, Saturday, Jan. 20, 11 a.m., at Mountain Vineyard Church, 1401 Kearns Blvd., Park City.
The family offers a special thanks to Judy Peterson for being there through it all, and in his heart. The heart does go on.

Park City planning director, a pivotal figure in growth matters for decades, dies
Bruce Erickson, the planning director at City Hall, has died, the municipal government said. Erickson was involved at some level in nearly all the major decisions regarding growth and development in Park City since the early 1990s.
