Obituary — Katie Nelson Grisard

Katie had so much enthusiasm in life.

She was born in Fosston, Minnesota and as a young girl, moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado with her family. After graduating from Fort Collins High School in 1974, she earned her degree and began her life-long dream of pursuing a career in nursing in Colorado.

In 1985, she moved to Utah, working at the University of Utah Hospital and the Snowbird Clinic.

Katie touched so many people’s lives in her career, her friendships, her family and her marriage to Rich, the love of her life.

She gave her heart and soul to everything she did. Her love of the arts and of nature brought her to a new direction in her life, working at the Kimball Arts Center and developing her photography business.

Katie was surrounded by a loving and forever supportive family; her two sisters, Kris and Ginny, her brother Dave, and her Dad and Mom, Maurie and Erica Nelson.

For all of us who knew and loved Katie, we were also her family. She loved and nurtured us all.

We will have a memorial to celebrate and remember Katie at the Kimball Arts Center in Park City on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
