Obituary – Kevin Scott King
Our dear father, son, brother and friend, Kevin King, passed away on June 5 at his home. He was working beneath his classic 1949 DeSoto when the jacks gave way and the car fell upon him.
Kevin was born in Coronado, California, on April 15, 1964. He was the middle of three children. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in architecture in 1987. He moved to Park City in 1991.
Kevin was the man who lived each day to the absolute fullest. He was the one who taught us all how to have fun. Kevin was the most devoted father ever to grace the earth. He would do anything for you, even if you were a complete stranger. Kevin savored a bluebird day by floating his snowboard in the trees. He also loved a good long bike ride on our trails. Kevin was passionate about historic buildings and his profession.
Kevin is survived by his loving son, Ray; his parents, Ray and Fran King of Florida; his brother, Doug (Brandi) of Arizona; his sister, Kim (Justin) Boswell of Indiana; and his two nieces, Taylor and Lauren.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Park City Community Church at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be mailed to PO Box 1957, Park City, Utah, 84060. In lieu of flowers, his son Ray has requested that donations be sent to Mountain Trails Foundation of Park City.

The two-vote margin between the sixth- and seventh-place finishers in the Park City Council primary election is so narrow after the initial counting that there is a possibility the final tally would fall within the range that a recount could be requested. The possibility of a recount will not be known until an Aug. 27 canvass.
