Obituary — Shawn D’Artagnan Feeney

1961-2009

Shawn D’Artagnan Feeney of Park City died suddenly at home April 13, 2009. He was 47 years old. Born in North Carolina, Shawn studied ski area management at Colorado Mountain College and worked in Colorado and Utah ski areas for many years. Most recently he operated a taxi, providing transportation for the nightlife of Park City.

His friends remember him as a lovable iconoclast, an intelligent and informed man with strong insight into human nature and the world around him. He loved his friends, the outdoors, electronic gadgets, computers, poker, dogs, motorcycles, snowmobiles and road trips. He was seldom seen without a Pepsi and a smoke. He hated barbers. Shawn was an excellent skier and loved to ski the trees. Always up for an adventure, he enjoyed many an outing with his friends in national parks and beautiful places throughout the western U.S.

He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand, tool, toy, car, or the shirt off his back. He was a passionate person with heartfelt beliefs, a deep roar of a laugh, and a love of pushing the edge, whether in a heated political debate or in a night of nonstop rides on the X-Scream roller coaster in Vegas. Shawn is survived by a tribe of friends in Utah, Colorado, California, and Oregon, who will celebrate his life at a Memorial Day gathering in Kanab, Utah. We will ALL miss him.
