Paralympian week away from Kilimanjaro
September 11, 2009
Local Park City Paralympian Chris Waddell is a week away from attempting to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro with a handcycle.Waddell is $40,000 away from his fundraising goal, with only a few days left to raise money. Andre Carrier, Greg Lee and the 500 men and women of The Eureka Resort Casino in Mesquite, Nev. have committed to matching the dollars raised over the next few weeks, up to $25,000. This would leave his ascent fully funded and filmed.
"Chris, you have given us our Eureka Moment: you have helped us see and learn something that will move us closer to living our best life as leaders and citizens," Carrier said. "Where we go one, we go all. We look forward to the view from the top of Kilimanjaro."

A skiing accident in 1988 left Waddell paralyzed from the waist down. He has spent 11 years on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team and traveled the world as a motivational speaker. For more information, visit http://www.One-Revolution.com.
