May 29, 2009
If you were hoping to get a job at the brand new Best Buy at Kimball Junction, it’s not too late. There are still a few openings for sales people, delivery drivers and customer service specialists.
and large, however, the hiring process for the 30,000 square-foot store opening June 13 is complete. About 100 people got jobs in sales, customer service, driving, inventory and more specialized work as Geek Squad agents and car audio installers.
Summit County’s approval process for the building meant it was built to fit in with its surrounding Newpark development. One part of the compromise was underground parking to save space.
But even though it may look a little different, the store is actually "middle sized" for the company and will carry the usual spectrum of products and related services, said spokesperson Erin Bix.
The new location will save about an hour’s travel time for people living east of Park City. The nearest location east is in Colorado. It is therefore expected to draw consumers from Summit’s surrounding counties as well as western Wyoming.
