The Park City Council will meet at City Hall on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 4:15 p.m. Agenda highlights include:
Review of Main Street Vibrancy Ordinance
Council will receive an overview of the current Vibrant Commercial Storefront Ordinance and provide feedback and direction on possible changes to it. The ordinance was created to protect Main Street’s unique tenant mix and protect the area’s character. View agenda item here.
Park City Transit Update and Winter Service Discussion
The transit team will provide an overview of their spring/summer performance and take feedback and direction on the proposed 2023/24 Winter Transit Service Plan. View agenda item here.
Deer Valley Right-of-Way Vacation Petition

Proposed Amendments to Land Management Code — Accessory Uses

Land Management Code Changes — Lot Combinations
Commissioners will review proposed Land Management Code amendments that establish a maximum lot size for residential development in the historic residential districts. Commissioners will consider an ordinance making the Planning Commission the final action authority for Steep Slope Conditional Use Permits and plats. Community Meeting on Housing and Active Transportation Tuesday, Sept. 26, 5:30-7 p.m. City Hall Council Chambers and Zoom
Park City Municipal and its consultant partners will hold a virtual community meeting regarding potential amendments to the Land Management Code. Discussion topics include opportunities to reduce barriers to affordable housing, “gentle density” development, and criteria for transportation demand management that supports multi-modal transportation.

Fall Projects Open House Tuesday, Oct. 10, 5-6:30 p.m., Park City Library Patio
Multiple City departments will be on hand and available to discuss the city’s current, ongoing, and future projects. Residents can expect updates on city planning initiatives, construction of the 3Kings Water Treatment Facility, the EngineHouse affordable housing development, the city’s Neighborhoods First initiative, and more.
State officials are unsure what killed 13 cows near the Rail Trail
The Utah Department of Agriculture took one of the animals for testing, and it’s been unable to determine the cause of death thus far.
