Park City has extended the deadline for surveys related to the future of Bonanza Park and a smaller City Hall-owned parcel within that district.

The deadline was pushed back to Wednesday.

One of the surveys is focused on a 5-acre City Hall parcel of land stretching inward from one of the corners of the Kearns Boulevard-Bonanza Drive intersection. The municipal government acquired the land with the intent to develop an arts and culture district anchored by the Kimball Art Center and the Utah offices of the Sundance Institute. City Hall is engaging the community in a wide-ranging discussion about whether the original idea of an arts district is the best option.

The other survey is broader in nature and inquires about Bonanza Park, a district approximately bounded by Kearns Boulevard, Park Avenue and Bonanza Drive. There is significant potential for redevelopment in Bonanza Park. The discussions are meant to craft an overall vision for the district rather than delve into the details of individual properties.

The survey about the City Hall parcel is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5AcreSiteMtg2. The survey centered on Bonanza Park is at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BonanzaMtg2.
