The Park City High School boys’ golf team shot a school record 287 on a par-72 course at the Region X Tournament held at East Bay in Provo on Sept. 24. East Bay was the site of the 2004 state tournament where Park City won the state championship in a playoff against Ogden.

The Miners, who have won all six tournaments this season, and are competing at the state championships Oct. 7-8 at Schneiter’s Bluff in Ogden.

Coach George Murphy attributed the win to "impressive rounds by the varsity players."

"We have had different players step up all season, and (Regional) was no exception," he said.

Jack Burrus shot the tournament low with a 69 (-3), followed by Michael Coopman with a 70(-2). Ryan Kearns was not far behind with a 73 (+1) and Ethan Eisenbarth and Justin Schluker each shot 75 (+3).
