Deer Valley skier dies after losing consciousness on lift

Park City police say CPR was unable to revive California man

A skier died at Deer Valley Resort on Friday after losing consciousness on a lift, the Park City Police Department said.

The police said the man was 78 and from Costa Mesa, California.

The man was on the Carpenter Express lift at approximately 3 p.m. when he lost consciousness, the police said.



CPR and unspecified “other interventions” were performed when the man reached the top of the lift, according to the police.
