Party time in Park City: complaints logged about noise, loud music

Jay Hamburger THE PARK RECORD

The Park City Police Department last week responded to a series of complaints about loud parties or people who were playing loud music, apparently upsetting people who live nearby.

The complaints were scattered through several neighborhoods, according to police reports.

The cases included:

  • on Sunday, July 28 at 8:20 p.m., someone was playing loud music on the 1200 block of Kearns Boulevard. The police classified the case as disturbing the peace.
  • on Saturday, July 27 at 8:40 p.m., someone reported a concert on a driveway along Monarch Drive. The people involved were told to turn the music down. The police were called to Monarch Drive twice later that night. At 10:22 a.m., a loud party was reported on the street. At 10:34 p.m., meanwhile, a case classified as disturbing the peace was reported. The person involved in the 10:34 p.m. case was warned to stop the music. It was not clear from public police logs whether the three cases were related.
  • on July 27 at 2:06 a.m., a loud party was reported somewhere along Deer Valley Drive.
  • on July 27 at 1:50 a.m., a loud party was reported on Evening Star Drive.
  • on Tuesday, July 23 at 11:10 p.m., a loud party was reported somewhere along Norfolk Avenue. The police were told it was an ongoing problem.
