Large truck reported to be idling
The Park City Police Department on Monday, June 17 at 7:37 p.m. received a report that a large truck was idling for 45 minutes ending in the 7 p.m. hour in Old Town.
The person who contacted the police said the truck was on the 100 block of Main Street, on the upper reaches of the street.
The police were told a woman asked the driver to turn the engine off, but the driver became "belligerent." Idling for more than a short time is prohibited in most cases.

On Sunday, June 23 at 9:30 a.m., a police officer warned someone for having a dog off a leash in the vicinity of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Buffalo Bill Drive.

The police were called to the 500 block of Deer Valley Drive at 4:02 a.m. after receiving a report of a loud party. The person who contacted the police was "extremely annoyed," according to police logs. The person planned to watch what happened after the call, the police said. The Police Department classified the case as disturbing the peace.
A person suspected to be intoxicated started to fight someone somewhere along Main Street at 12:49 a.m. The person refused to leave the scene, the police said.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported at 12:48 a.m. on the 2200 block of Sidewinder Drive. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Saturday, June 22 at 11:29 p.m., the police were called to the 1700 block of Park Avenue where a person might have been intoxicated. The person’s outfit included a hat, shorts and sunglasses. The police classified the case as disorderly conduct.
A police officer pulled over a driver at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Marsac Avenue and Ontario Avenue after seeing the driver side’s headlight was out, the police said.
A man, who was suspected to be intoxicated, was reported to be harassing customers at a business on the 500 block of Main Street at 9:54 p.m.
The police were called to an address along Moray Court at 5:41 p.m. after someone found a vehicle parked on a lawn. The person who contacted the police wanted the vehicle moved.
At 5:11 p.m., the police received a report that a driver in a dark-colored Cadillac Escalade with Utah plates passed another driver on Marsac Avenue in a location where passing was not allowed. The driver nearly hit two runners, the police were told.
At 11:36 a.m., the police received a report that a BWM motorcycle was discovered abandoned on the 3000 block of Oak Rim Lane.
The Police Department reported that a panhandler was spotted on the 500 block of Main Street at 11:30 a.m. The police indicated panhandling cases are forwarded to City Hall’s code inspectors.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported at or close to the intersection of Park Avenue and Iron Horse Drive at 12:46 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Friday, June 21 at 10:29 p.m., the police reported a power outage in the Main Street area. The outage impacted at least the upper reaches of Swede Alley, the police said. A Rocky Mountain Power crew was summoned.
At 9:40 p.m., graffiti was found on a utility box in the vicinity of the intersection of Meadows Drive and Evening Star Drive.
At 6:55 p.m., a vehicle was reported to be found parked across the sidewalk on the 300 block of Main Street.
On Thursday, June 20 at 9:29 p.m., the police received a report that a bicycle seat and the seat’s post were stolen off a bicycle on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. It was taken between 3 p.m. the day before and 3 p.m. the day of the report, the police were told.
At 1:46 p.m., a person went to the Park Avenue police station to turn over old ammunition for disposal. Public police logs did not provide details, including the amount of ammunition.
On Wednesday, June 19 at 8:54 p.m., a man was seen at the Park City Golf Club picking golf balls out of a pond on the grounds. An officer told the person he could be trespassing, the police said.
Ducklings were seen attempting to cross the road along the 1900 block of Park Avenue at 5:44 p.m. The police said they created a traffic hazard.
A bicyclist and a scooter rider were seen in the City Park skate park at 2:26 p.m. Both were told to leave.
On Tuesday, June 18 at 8:12 p.m., two men were reportedly seen shooting off fireworks in the vicinity of the intersection of Cooke Drive and Stryker Avenue.
On Monday, June 17, the police and firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Deer Valley Drive at 4:24 p.m. after someone became stuck in an elevator. The Park City Fire District responds to elevator malfunctions involving stuck people.
A moose was spotted in the vicinity of the Park City dog park and the Park City Ice Arena at Quinn’s Junction at 12:14 p.m.
At 10:19 a.m., a rock was reportedly thrown through a store window somewhere along Main Street. The damage occurred within the 20 minutes of the police being contacted.
A suspected intoxication case was reported at 2 a.m. on the 200 block of Main Street. Public police logs did not provide details.
