On Sunday, Dec. 13, police officers conducted at least eight traffic stops between a little after 12 p.m. and a little before 5 p.m. The drivers were pulled over on streets like Richardson Flat Road, Round Valley Drive at the S.R. 248 intersection and S.R. 224.
A suspected trespassing case was logged somewhere along Sidewinder Drive at 11:01 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
A traffic accident reported to involve a City Hall bus was reported on Park Avenue at 7:58 a.m. The accident was described as "minor," according to police logs, which indicated no injuries were reported. There were apparently no passengers on board.
A man, described as homeless, was reported to be seen sleeping on a couch inside a lounge in an underground garage at 3:46 a.m. The report was logged somewhere along Lowell Avenue. The Police Department classified the case as suspected trespassing.
The police at 2:50 a.m. received a report that a man, suspected to be intoxicated, was knocking on a cottage door somewhere along Park Avenue.
The Police Department received three reports involving disorderly conduct along Main Street in quick succession starting at 1:16 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details. It was unclear whether the three reports involved the same people or location. Earlier, at 12:35 a.m., a case logged as disturbing the peace was reported on Main Street while at 12:19 a.m. a suspected intoxication case was reported on Main Street.
On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11:52 p.m., the police received a complaint about a man in a store on Park Avenue who might have been intoxicated. The man attempted to steal unspecified beverages, the police were told.
A suspected drunken driving case was logged along the Bonanza Drive corridor at 10:11 p.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
A man was reportedly seen attempting to get into a truck on Daly Avenue at 9:07 p.m. The Police Department logged the case as a suspected vehicle burglary.
The police at 7:40 a.m. received a report that someone parked a vehicle between two driveways along Woodside Avenue, blocking the garages at both places.
On Friday, Dec. 11 at 9:04 p.m., a dog was seen in the road along Lucky John Drive.
A deer was seen attempting to cross the road somewhere along Park Avenue at 7:07 p.m. Earlier that day, 6:16 p.m., a deer carcass was seen in an eastbound lane of S.R. 248. The police indicated the carcass presented a traffic hazard. At 4:56 p.m., meanwhile, a deer was seen in traffic at or close to the intersection of Deer Valley Drive and Park Avenue. The person who contacted the Police Department was concerned the animal would cause a collision.
The police at 2:17 p.m. received a report from a property manager that a fraudulent listing, likely involving some sort of rental, was seen online. The report was logged on Empire Avenue.
Someone found a wallet on Main Street and turned it in to a store clerk. The Police Department was contacted at 2:05 p.m. Earlier, at 1:27 p.m., someone contacted the police to report finding a wallet in Heber City. The person wanted to turn it in to the Police Department.
On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 8:57 p.m., a vehicle hit a streetlamp on Iron Horse Loop. The airbags were triggered, but nobody was injured, the police said.
A construction fence was reported to be in the road somewhere along Empire Avenue at 6:44 p.m. The Police Department said it presented a traffic hazard. The person who alerted the police also contacted the construction company and a real estate agent, according to the Police Department.
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 2:11 a.m., a suspected drunken driving case was logged on Park Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 9:50 p.m., someone on Meadows Drive reported two vehicles were seen "racing up and down the road," according to police logs. The logs did not provide details.
The police at 10:49 a.m. received a complaint that a backpack was stolen from inside a locked vehicle along Main Street. A laptop computer and passport were apparently inside the backpack.
A slide-off traffic accident was reported on S.R. 224 at 12:34 a.m. A tow truck was summoned.
At 12:15 a.m., three cars were reported to have been involved in a crash or crashes on Marsac Avenue south of Old Town. It was not clear from public police logs whether there was one accident or multiple ones. Nobody was injured, the police said.
On Monday, Dec. 7 at 9:42 p.m., the police received a report of a deer jumping in front of a car on Solamere Drive. The vehicle did not hit the deer, but it apparently struck a tree. Nobody was injured, the police said.
A two-vehicle accident was reported at 5:50 p.m. on Sidewinder Drive. The police said nobody was injured.
A suspected identity-theft case was reported on Estates Drive at 1:15 p.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
A violation of the leash law was reported on Sullivan Road, a small street bordering City Park, at 11:23 a.m.
Graffiti was seen in a tunnel underneath Deer Valley Drive at 10:19 a.m. close to Sullivan Road.
