Talk about growth in Park City
June 19, 2015
Park City has scheduled events billed as community conversations over the next week as leaders continue their wide-ranging discussions about growth.
Three community conversations are scheduled on Tuesday and another three are slated for Saturday, June 27. The events on Tuesday run from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The June 27 gatherings are set to start at 9 a.m. and also last 90 minutes.
The events will be held at three locations each day: the community room at the Park City Library and Education Center, the Park City Senior Center at 1361 Woodside Ave. and the community room at the Park City police station on Park Avenue. Someone may attend at any of the locations.
One or two of Park City’s elected officials are anticipated to attend the gatherings at each location. City Hall staffers will lead the community conversations.
Organizers hope the people who attend the events address broad topics like what is missing from Park City, ideas or questions about growth and "what comes to mind when you hear the word growth," a flier advertising the event says.
More information about the events and the overall growth discussions is available on City Hall’s website, http://www.parkcity.org . Select the ‘What’s Next?’ Event & Presentation Materials’ link in the News section on the front page of the site. The direct address is: http://www.parkcity.org/index.aspx?page=1283 . City Hall, meanwhile, has posted an accompanying survey inquiring about growth topics on the same page.
