Park City’s Best survey is about to close
May 29, 2015
This year’s 3rd annual Park City’s Best survey, which closes for voting Sunday night, promises to be the toughest competition yet. The tally of responses in just over 100 categories has already topped last year’s count by more than 300, bringing the total as of Friday afternoon to 3,835.
The survey not only gives the general public the opportunity to endorse bars, nightclubs and restaurants (broken down by price and specialties), but also asks respondents to rank essential servicemen, like plumbers, roofers and electricians. Of course, personal maintenance providers (hair and nail salons, plastic surgeons, spas, etc.) are also up for evaluation.
Some of the more whimsical categories include the most colorful local character, best place to hike with your dog, sweetest spot to get married and most popular musical group.
The Record’s Park City’s Best survey is also used to determine some of the town’s most coveted titles, including Best Place to Work, Best Teacher, Best Coach and even Best Law Enforcement officer.
The results, printed in a special magazine in July, serve as a handy guide when the time comes to hunt for local experts and hangouts.
But, it is important to note, as the deadline nears, that the winners and runners up in many of the categories will be determined by only a vote or two. So, if you have a favorite, whether it is a physical therapist, ski run or bus driver, log on to vote now.
