Parkites, it’s Clean Up time

City Hall’s annual ‘Clean Up’ program is scheduled from May 7 until May 12, giving Parkites a chance to throw out stuff that does not fit in the regular garbage.

The Public Works Department will put Dumpsters in spots throughout Park City during the cleanup. The city typically collects a diverse load of goods during the cleanup. Officials have long said furniture, bicycles and skis are some of the goods that people throw away during the event.

The Dumpsters will be marked with red and white banners. City Hall urges people to not leave the goods outside the Dumpsters.

Contractor waste and hazardous materials are prohibited.

Officials want people to consider whether items can be reused or recycled before they are left in the Dumpsters. The goods that are collected during Clean Up are brought to a landfill.
