Parley’s Park artists move on to State
Parley’s Park Elementary School participated in "Reflections," a national program sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Association, which enables students to produce art, including photography, 3D-art and ceramics and submit it to the regional competition. This year, the theme was "Diversity is " and about 29 students from Parley’s Park participated. Four students were also selected to participate in the state competition this spring. Reflections Art Program Winners include: Alyssa Garcia, Garcia’s for film, John Reko, Reko’s for 3-D art, Ellie Donovan, Donovan’s for 3D art, and Ella Ball, Ball’s for photography.

Arlene Loble served as the Park City manager in the 1980s, a pivotal period that prepared the community for the boom years that would follow in the 1990s. Loble, who recently died, is credited with introducing a level of professionalism to the municipal government that was needed amid the growth challenges.
