Boys' lacrosse edges Olympus; girls' golf posts strong scores

The Park City High School boys’ lacrosse team picked up a big win on Wednesday, with another important game against Judge being played Friday night after The Record went to press.

The Miners beat Olympus 8-7 at Dozier Field, getting two goals and two assists from senior Matt Mersereau and two goals and one assist from junior Griffin Perkiel. Sophomore Peter Hoburg recorded seven saves for the Miners, who moved to 8-3 and will be seeded for the playoffs after Friday’s game.

Golf team takes first at Spanish Oaks

The PCHS girls’ golf team won an invitational at Spanish Fork on Thursday, playing at an alternate location after snowfall canceled a scheduled match at Wasatch.

The Miners beat runner-up Carbon, which was followed by Union and Wasatch.

Sami Crouch shot an even-par round of 36 on nine holes to finish first overall, while Ciera Perry carded a 45 to take second. Freshman E.J. Elliott took third on the team with a 51.
