Officers receive at least nine reports of students skipping classes
The Park City Police Department last week received at least nine complaints about Park City High School students skipping classes.
The eight were reported in two waves.
On Thursday, Nov. 12 four students were reportedly skipping classes at Park City High School over the course of an hour starting at 8:51 a.m. Another one was reported as truant at 8:29 a.m.
On Friday, Nov. 13 The Police Department received four reports of students skipping classes at Park City High School over the course of an hour starting at 7:36 a.m.
The Police Department regularly receives reports of truant students, with many of them said to be skipping classes at the high school.

Other incidents reported to the Police Department last week included:
On Sunday, Nov. 15 at 12:48 p.m., a snowblower was reportedly stolen on Daly Avenue.
At 3:58 a.m., the police were called to Short Line Road, where a car horn was reportedly continuously blasting. The noise stopped while the person who complained was on the phone with the police, the Police Department said.
A woman was suspected to be intoxicated at the Main Street-Heber Avenue intersection at 1:44 a.m.
A police officer at 12:51 a.m. went through the China Bridge garage on a normal patrol and found someone had distributed pamphlets in the garage. The officer was unable to find the person. The police, though, said nobody was found sleeping in the vehicles inside the garage. Officers sometimes come across people spending the night inside their vehicles, which is not allowed in Park City.
On Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11:22 p.m., a man was reportedly seen hitchhiking on Deer Valley Drive close to the City Park skateboard park.
At 2:47 p.m., a man was reportedly seen camping in a hillside above upper Iron Horse Loop.
A driver hit a fire hydrant at 1:12 p.m. on the 6800 block of Silver Lake Drive.
A suspected drunken-driving case was reported on the 1600 block of Iron Horse Loop at 5:16 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Friday, Nov. 13 at 10:39 a.m., a vehicle reportedly slid into a fire hydrant on the 2400 block of Solamere Drive.
A painting was reported as stolen from the Park City Library and Education Center at 9:31 a.m.
A suspected drunken-driving case was reported at the S.R. 224-Meadows Drive intersection at 7:41 a.m.1
The Police Department received three reports in quick succession of a driver hitting another vehicle and leaving the scene on Empire Avenue. One of the reports was filed at 12:53 a.m., with the person telling the police they heard the crash and saw a driver leaving.
On Thursday, Nov. 12 at 5:04 p.m., a driver reportedly hit a parked vehicle and left. The car was parked on Doc Holliday Drive.
A storage room was reportedly broken into sometime before 11:25 a.m. on Lowell Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details.
A vehicle was reportedly broken into on the 1000 block of Park Avenue sometime before 8:01 a.m. Nothing was taken, the police said.
On Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 7:18 a.m., a driver reportedly hit a scooter on the 400 block of Main Street and left.
On Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 12:13 p.m., a carbon-monoxide detector sounded on Silver Lake Drive. The Park City Fire District responded as well, but public police logs did not provide details.
On Monday, Nov. 9 at 6:27 p.m., a man wearing a green sweatshirt with the hood up was reportedly seen trying to unlock a car door with a coat hanger. The police classified the case as suspicious.
