On Sunday, Feb. 14 at 11:06 a.m., something triggered an alarm on a vehicle parked on the 2700 block of Kearns Boulevard. Someone with the vehicle did not have the code needed to turn the alarm off, the police said.

An official at Deer Valley Resort notified the police at 10:30 a.m. that skiers would be told to park on the side of the street in lower Deer Valley, a scenario that sometimes occurs when the resort is especially busy. Presidents Day weekend is typically one of the most popular ski weekends of the season.

At 4:36 a.m., someone called 911 twice from an address in Prospector, with the police indicating the person was having difficulty speaking in complete sentences. The person claimed the police were surrounding an apartment and trying to break in, according to the Police Department. Public police logs did not provide details.

A suspected drunken driving case was reported on S.R. 224 at 1:34 a.m.

Someone reported an assault on the 400 block of Main Street at 1:10 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.

On Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11:36 a.m. the police received a complaint that 10 people were stuck in an elevator in a building on Park Avenue. The Park City Fire District was called to assist.

A police officer was called to Park Avenue at 11:31 p.m., where a noisy party had been reported. The police told the people to quiet down. Earlier that day, at 4:18 p.m., someone on Little Kate Road lodged a complaint that music was being played too loud. At 2:47 a.m., a small group of people in a hot tub were reportedly being loud. A police officer warned them.

On Friday, Feb. 12 at 11:13 p.m., someone turned in a wallet they found on a bus. The person gave it to the bus driver. Public police logs did not provide details, including the bus route the person was on.

The police received a complaint from a taxi driver at 9:14 p.m. that a passenger did not pay a full fare. The driver was on the 700 block of Main Street. At 4:54 p.m., someone on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue reported a pair of skis had been stolen. They are valued at approximately $430, the police were told.

Someone on the 400 block of Main Street contacted the police at 4:49 p.m. to report that a customer might have attempted to pass a counterfeit $50 bill. A person at the business gave the bill back to the customer, the police were told.

A possible drunken-driving case was reported on the 1500 block of Park Avenue at 2:50 a.m. According to the police, someone driving a white pickup truck was on the wrong side of an intersection. Public police logs did not provide details.

A beagle reportedly was left in the front yard of a place on Lucky John Drive at 2:36 a.m., and the dog barked loudly for 30 minutes, the police were told.

A driver reportedly hit another vehicle and then left the scene at 5:26 p.m. on the 900 block of Park Avenue.

The police received a delayed complaint about a ski theft on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue, with the person informing the Police Department of the case at 4:25 p.m. The skis disappeared in the middle of December, the police were told. Earlier that day, at 2:03 p.m., skis were reported missing from the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. They disappeared on Feb. 7, the police were told.

On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12:23 p.m., someone told the police a car window had been shot out by someone using a BB gun. The car was on the 2100 block of Park Avenue.

A young moose was seen on a doorstep on American Saddler Drive at 10:13 a.m.

The Police Department received two complaints within approximately 20 minutes about suspected truant students skipping classes at Park City High School, with the first case reported at 9:23 a.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 4:47 a.m., a man was reportedly found sleeping in the Old Town transit center. A police officer asked him to leave.

On Monday, Feb. 8 at 11:49 a.m., a moose was reportedly seen trying to amble around a fence off S.R. 248 close to Prospector.
