On Sunday, Aug. 1 at 2:37 p.m., the Police Department was told of an accident that occurred at the Deer Valley Drive-Park Avenue intersection. Nobody was injured, the police said. The accident happened sometime before the police received the report, but public police logs did not indicate when.

The police received a report of a man sitting unconscious inside a vehicle on Round Valley Drive at 10:25 a.m. The car’s engine was running, the police were told. The person inside was sleeping, the police discovered.

Spray paint was found on a building on the 400 block of Main Street at 10:20 a.m.

Someone on Lowell Avenue called the police at 8:31 a.m., reporting that a vehicle alarm had sounded throughout the previous night.

On Saturday, July 31, a suspected drunken-driving case was reported on the 1400 block of Park Avenue at 11:06 p.m.

A police officer warned two bicyclists on the 2900 block of Cochise Court of not having the proper reflectors for someone riding at night. The police said the bicyclists were seen at 10:19 p.m.

A puppy was reportedly locked inside a sport utility vehicle on Swede Alley at 12:44 p.m. Summit County Animal Control was summoned.

Someone on King Road contacted the police at 12:41 p.m., saying that a car parked in a driveway was hit by another vehicle in early July. The Police Department classified the case as a hit-and-run accident.

A metal plate used in the road construction on Bonanza Drive reportedly was dislodged sometime around 7:51 a.m., exposing hole. The police were told theplate was on the 1600 block of Bonanza Drive.

Someone called the police at 5:52 a.m., complaining that lawnmowers were running at 5 a.m. It is a frequent occurrence and the crews refuse to start later, the police were told. The call was from a person on American Saddler Drive.

The Police Department received secondhand information at 2:35 a.m. of someone claiming that he might have been the target of muggers on Main Street. According to police logs, up to five men, reported to be in their late teens or early 20s, tried to mug the man. The person told the story to a cab driver. The Police Department classified the report as a suspicious incident.

A suspected drunken driving case was reported at 1:09 a.m. at the Park Avenue-Homestake Road intersection.

On Friday, July 30 at 10:37 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on the 2200 block of Deer Valley Drive.

At 9:11 p.m., approximately six teens were seen in the area around a pool and a hot tub on Empire Avenue. They did not appear to live at the location and they were rude, the police were told.

On Thursday, July 29 at 10:19 p.m., two men reportedly stole beer and then fled from a store on the 1500 block of Snow Creek Drive.

Six bicyclists were seen in the skate park at City Park at 8:48 p.m. They were told to leave. Bicyclists are prohibited in the skate park, but they are frequently seen inside.

On Wednesday, July 28 at 1:14 p.m., a traffic accident was reported at the Kearns Boulevard-Comstock Drive intersection. Public police logs did not provide details.

At 9:07 a.m., the police received a report of someone using a BB gun to shoot out a porch light. The target was on Norfolk Avenue.

On Tuesday, July 27 at 3:50 p.m., someone smelled a natural-gas odor on Doc Holliday Drive. The odor emanated from a backyard, the police were told.

Graffiti was found close to the 900 block of Main Street, in an area of a pedestrian-bicyclist tunnel and trail.

At 2:35 p.m., a boy reported to be in his early teens was seen with a gun on the 1700 block of Sidewinder Drive, the police were told. It was a toy gun.

A baseball hit a truck on the 1500 block of Sullivan Road, a small street on the edge of City Park, at 8:45 a.m. The windshield suffered damage.

Fireworks were reportedly set off in the area of Lucky John Drive and Arabian Drive at 12:41 a.m.

On Monday, July 26 at a little before 3:22 p.m., a woman reported to be in her 60s hit a bicyclist on the 1700 block of Park Avenue while driving a van. The bicyclist did not need medical attention, the police said.

A dog was seen locked in a car on the 400 block of Main Street at 12:42 p.m.
