On Sunday, March 20 at 12:47 p.m., the police received a complaint that someone was caught stealing at a store on the 1600 block of Park Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details, including what sort of item was reportedly taken and the value.

A large trash container reportedly caught on fire at 10:40 a.m. at a construction site on Centennial Circle.

A police officer at 9:41 a.m. removed a shopping cart from the road on the 1700 block of Kearns Boulevard.

The Police Department handled a suspected intoxication case on the 300 block of Swede Alley at 1:58 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.

A suspected drunken-driving case was reported at 1:57 a.m. close to the intersection of Deer Valley Drive and Aerie Drive. Public police logs did not provide details.

At 1:48 a.m., the police received a report that a car had slid off the road on Aerie Drive, hitting the curb.

Someone told the police they found a purse close to the intersection of Main Street and 4th Street.

On Saturday, March 19 at 11:11 p.m., a loud party was reported on the 2200 block of Sidewinder Drive.

The Police Department received a complaint at 8:27 p.m. about a suspected burglary and a related vandalism case. The police said the complaint involved a storage room on the 700 block of Main Street.

At 4:40 p.m., a cell phone was reportedly stolen from a woman while she was at work. The case was reported on the 7500 block of Royal Street.

At noon, the police received a call from somebody claiming that people were building a jump in Old Town, likely for skiers and snowboarders. The police were told the users would have soared over Hillside Avenue and landed in a backyard. The people were dismantling the ramp by the time the police were contacted.

At 2:44 a.m., a man reportedly was seen sleeping in a car in the China Bridge garage.

On Friday, March 18, the police were called to the 1600 block of Bonanza Drive at 5:46 p.m., when two vehicles reportedly collided at the gas pumps of a station. The drivers were seen arguing afterward, the police were told.

The Police Department at 4:58 p.m. received a report that a black cat was seen dead on S.R. 224. The person told the police a rope appeared to be tied around its neck. A police officer investigated, finding that the animal was a marmot and its insides had wrapped around its neck, not a rope.

At 4:40 p.m., someone on Sunnyside Drive reported a bicycle had been stolen out of a garage, possibly the night before. Public police logs did not provide details, including the value of the bicycle.

On Thursday, March 17 at 10:01 p.m., the police received a complaint that a cab driver assaulted a man at the China Bridge garage. The man was unable to identify the cab or the driver, the police said.

Someone contacted the police at 6:34 p.m., reporting what was described as an Internet hoax. The police were told the hoax involves a person entering a phone number they want a call to appear to originate from. A message featuring a screaming person is then played when a number is called.

Graffiti was reportedly found on a power box on the 2300 block of Monitor Drive at 1:26 p.m.

The stoplights at the S.R. 224-Meadows Drive intersection all showed green at 8:44 a.m.

On Wednesday, March 16 at 11:14 p.m., someone on Estates Circle reported hearing fireworks and loud music.

The Police Department received a complaint that a driver hit another vehicle and then left the scene, with the report filed at 10:50 a.m. by someone on Crescent Road. The police were told a driver’s side door was damaged.

On Tuesday, March 15 at 9:37 p.m., a person on Main Street told the police a diamond ring had been lost. It is appraised at between $12,000 and $15,000, and the diamond is reportedly 1.5 carats.

Graffiti was found on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Earlier that evening, at 7:27 p.m., graffiti was found on the 1700 block of Kearns Boulevard.

At 3:27 p.m., someone reported a snowboard was stolen on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue.

A vehicle was reportedly seen idling at 3:07 p.m. on the 1200 block of Deer Valley Drive.

On Monday, March 14 at 8:59 a.m., a person was reportedly seen sleeping in a sleeping bag on a trail close to City Park. The person was spotted close to the volleyball courts at the park, the police were told.
