Dogfight reported in Solamere between German shepherd and golden retriever
Someone called officers from the Park City Police Department last week to intervene in what was described as a dogfight on Oak Wood Drive, in Solamere.
According to the police, dispatchers received the call at 8:03 p.m. from the 3600 block of the street. The police were told a golden retriever bit a 10-month-old German shepherd.
Officers were sent to the scene to make sure the confrontation did not escalate. An Animal Control crew also was called but the authorities were unable to locate the golden retriever.

On Sunday, June 24 at 11:55 p.m., the police stopped to check on people spotted inside a parked vehicle at City Park. Officers told them to leave.
Several kids were reportedly throwing water balloons at cars at the S.R. 224 Holiday Ranch Loop Road intersection. Officers were unable to find them.
A fight was reported at 9:28 p.m. on the 1800 block of Kearns Boulevard. When officers arrived, they arrested a person on a drunken-driving charge.
An unconscious man was reportedly on the ground at 5:18 p.m. on then 1800 block of Sidewinder Drive. The man, who the police say is between 30 and 40 years old, could have been drunk. Friends took the man home, the police say.
Officers were called to the Lucky John Drive-Meadows Drive intersection at 3:59 p.m., where two young men were reported to be riding all-terrain vehicles or motorcycles. They were going fast, the police were told. Officers were unable to locate them. The call was the second that afternoon. At 2:19 p.m., the police were told someone was driving an ATV on Lucky John Drive but officers were unable to locate the person.
A laptop computer was reported stolen on the 1800 block of Sidewinder Drive at 8:14 a.m.
Someone reported vandalism to construction equipment on the 700 block of Saddle View Way at 8:15 a.m.
The police arrested a man on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct at 12:46 a.m. on the 400 block of Main Street.
On Saturday, June 23 at 10:40 p.m., the police assisted a woman who suffered a cut to her head on the 400 block of Swede Alley. A medical crew said she was OK and the police arrested her on a charge of public intoxication. The police took her to jail.
At 9:03 p.m., someone on the 2000 block of Prospector Avenue reported a vehicle was broken into a computer was taken. The police describe the computer as being "expensive."
Officers were called to Silver Cloud Court at 8:55 p.m., after someone reported seeing an adult riding an ATV with a child riding in the handlebars. Officers were unable to locate them.
At 12:06 a.m., the police were called to the intersection of Holiday Ranch Loop Road and Jupiter View Drive, where several kids reportedly left after starting a fire in a park. The police found a smoldering rag and extinguished it.
A police officer reported someone threw a rock or shot a BB gun at their vehicle at 12:18 a.m. at the Little Kate Road-Lucky John Drive intersection. Officers discovered the vehicle was struck by jellybeans inside a small bag. They also found three baseball bats nearby. They did not find suspects.
On Friday, June 22 at 8:31 p.m., someone found a bank card in an automatic-teller machine on the 1100 block of Snow Creek Drive. The person turned the card into the police, who returned it to the owner.
A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported at 3:39 p.m. at the Swede Alley-Heber Avenue intersection. An officer found a suspect.
Two bicycles were reportedly stolen the previous night on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. The police call the case, reported at 12:31 p.m., a felony.
The police investigated a report of a suspicious man on the 2200 block of Kearns Boulevard at 5:17 p.m. The Police Department was told the man was watching cheerleaders with binoculars. An officer found the person, who is involved with the team, according to the department.
At 11:32 a.m., a burglary at a construction site was reported on the 800 block of Lowell Avenue. The police consider the case a felony, based on the value of the equipment.
At 3:23 a.m., the police warned a person seen urinating in a parking lot on the 1700 block of Park Avenue. The police say the man told officers the practice is acceptable in his native England.
On Thursday, June 21 at 7:08 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen on the 1400 block of Woodside Avenue. The police consider the case a felony, based on the value.
At 3:59 p.m., someone on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue reported a vehicle’s window was shot out with a BB gun.
Someone left without paying a gas tab on the 1600 block of Bonanza Drive at 12:23 p.m.
On Monday, June 18 at 7:40 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on the 1100 block of Deer Valley Drive.
The police were called to the skateboard park at City Park at 9:23 a.m., where a person was reportedly seen rolling a marijuana into a cigarette. Officers found the person and discovered the cigarette was made with tobacco.
Two hot-air balloons landed at the Kearns Boulevard-Comstock Drive intersection at 6:35 p.m.
The Park City Planning Commission on Wednesday approved a City Hall workforce or otherwise restricted housing development slated for the northern reaches of Old Town.
