Power outage affects 1800 customers in Park City

Power outage affects 1800 customers in Park City Some office workers in Park City got an unexpected afternoon off Wednesday when a power outage shut down electricity to about 1840 households and businesses. The outage was reported at approximately 2:40 p.m. According to Rocky Mountain Power spokesman Jeff Hymas, a repair crew was able to trace the problem to an underground line and by diverting some lines was able to restore power to about 900 locations. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday evening, however, about 940 locations were still without power. Hymas said the repairmen still had not determined what caused the problem. He added that the company hoped to have power restored to the rest of the customers by 8 p.m.
