Rail Trail work

State officials are warning people to use caution on a stretch of the Rail Trail next week as crews conduct limited work on the popular trail.

John Knudson, who coordinates trails for the state Department of Natural Resources, says the work is scheduled to start Monday and be completed by Thursday.

The Rail Trail will not be shut down, however, he says.

He says 1.5 miles of the trail will be worked on, stretching eastward from the western terminus at Bonanza Drive.

Knudson says that the crews will be patching asphalt and test drilling for a water line.
