PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT
The opening day for the 2012-13 season is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17. The PayDay, First Time, 3 Kings and the two conveyor lifts located in the "Learner Zone" will begin turning at 9 a.m. As of Monday afternoon, the resort had received 30 inches of snow near Jupiter Peak, while the Bonanza Lift had received 24 inches. According to a post on the Mountain Trails Foundation Facebook page on Wednesday, "We’ve packed/groomed the two missing legs on the south end of Oz. It’s a little rough and uneven, but it’s there. Also packed and ran the groomer over Upper RV Express & Two Pines for a little up and down. Again, it’s a little on the thin side. Think snow!" According to Bob Radke’s Basin Recreation Grooming Report Monday afternoon, the Nordic 5K loop is set for skiing only, while McLeod Creek had 6K total groomed. The Willow Creek Park trail had 5K groomed, while Miss Billy’s (2K), East 224 Trail (4K) and the Millennium Trail (3K) rounded out the track set by Basin Recreation early this week. GORGOZA TUBING PARK
Gorgoza Park, owned and operated by Park City Mountain Resort, is scheduled to open for the early season Nov. 21-25, noon to 8 p.m., conditions permitting. The regular season is scheduled to run from Dec. 1 through April 7. The scheduled hours of operation are: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Extended holiday hours are as follows: Dec. 22 through Jan. 6, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Jan. 19 through 21, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Feb. 16 through 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Feb. 19 through 22, noon to 8 p.m.; April 5 through 7, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Regular-season ticket costs are: $8 for one ride, $22 for two hours and $33 for four hours.
