PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT

As of Dec. 31, PCMR is reporting 15 lifts open, servicing 91 runs, 37 groomed. Base depth is 42 inches. Four bowls, one pipe and three parks are open. THE CANYONS RESORT

As of Dec. 31, The Canyons Resort is reporting 16 lifts open, servicing 117 runs, 43 groomed. Four bowls and five halfpipes are open. The mid-mountain base depth is 31 inches. The summit base depth is 40 inches. For more information, visit http://www.thecanyons.com or call 888-CANYONS.

DEER VALLEY

WHITE PINE TOURING

SOLDIER HOLLLOW

Soldier Hollow has 28km of track groomed for classic and skate cross-country skiing. Soldier Hollow is also open for tubing and snowshoeing. For more information, call 435-654-2002 or visit. http://www.soldierhollow.com.

UTAH AVALANCHE CENTER

The Utah Avalanche Center is issuing intermittent advisories at http://www.utahavalanchecenter.org and on its toll-free hotline, 1-888-999-4019. Hikers, snowshoers, early skiers and riders, and hunters still heading into the high country should avoid steep blanketed and drifted slopes in the higher elevations. This includes the Wasatch and Bear River ranges, the Wasatch Plateau, and particularly the Uinta Mountains, which seem primed for the greatest accumulations and wind.

WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST

Mirror Lake Highway 150 and Highway 35 are closed. For more information call 435-783-4338.

UTAH OLYMPIC PARK The Utah Olympic Park is open daily 10 a.m.-6 p.m., with two free museums, self-guided tours and athlete training. Expert guided tours of the Olympic venue run daily 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Reservations for the winter Comet Bobsled ride may be made online or by calling 435-658-4206. CITY AND BASIN TRAILS

As of Dec. 26 the Rail Trail has been groomed from Bonanza to 248. Round Valley connector is groomed, adding another 5K of interconnect trail to the system. The Quinn’s Trailhead is accessible but be aware of heavy equipment moving through the area. The Silver Summit access was groomed and 12K of Round Valley was groomed. GORGOZA PARK

The park offers seven tubing lanes, mini-snowmobile rides and tubing carousel for children ages six and younger. It is open from 1 to 8 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and noon-8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Special holiday hours are listed on its website.
