The PayDay chairlift and resort base activities open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Town Lift is open noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Hours will change on Sept. 8; summer activities will close on Oct. 18. THE CANYONS RESORT Farmers’ Markets are each Wednesday through October from noon to 6 p.m. in the cabriolet parking lot. The Canyons is open for summer activities including scenic gondola rides, mountain biking, hiking and alpine disc golf. Hours for the Flight of the Canyons gondola are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer activities end Oct. 4. Please visit or call 649-5400 for more information.


Lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides will continue operating weekends only after Labor Day through Sept. 13 (conditions permitting). Last day of summer operation is Sept. 13. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for the Silver Lake Express and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the Sterling Express. Helmets are required for bikers. The Utah Olympic Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Admission is free and includes a self-guided tour of the 2002 Olympic competition sites and access to the Alf Engen Ski Museum and 2002 Eccles Olympic Winter Games Museum. Guided tours of the venue are offered daily at the top of the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Comet Bobsled operates 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 2 to 6 p.m. Saturdays. The Ultra Zipline is closed Monday through Friday for the rest of the season. The Rail Trail paving project is underway. Please stay off the newly paved sections and pay attention to signs. Improvements to the walking and biking infrastructure in the Park Meadows area are also underway. Storm drainage will be improved and bike lanes and sidewalks will be added. The Little Kate/Monitor and Lucky John/Little Kate intersections will be reconstructed to make them more pedestrian and bike-friendly. Traffic along Little Kate and Lucky John may experience limited delays and possible detours at times. Construction is expected to be complete by Oct. 15.
