Rich Haines Gallery getting facelift

New artists, design to be ready by Black Friday

The Rich Haines Gallery at 625 Main St. is currently closed for renovations but will reopen Nov. 26 the day after Thanksgiving with a new look and several new artists.

Owner Rich Haines said it was time to freshen up and give friends of the gallery a new reason to visit. When it reopens the gallery will feature several new artists as well as previous favorites.

The gallery features some of the owner’s sculpture, but the aim is to provide a good mix of traditional Americana art mostly realism, he said.

The old look featured carpeted walls and other features that are a little outdated, he said. To stay competitive, Haines said he wants to offer Main St. something new without a dramatic departure from what has made the gallery successful.
