Deer Valley Resort will celebrate the New Year with its annual Torchlight Parade on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 6 p.m. The parade begins on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain. Celebrate New Year’s Eve with live funk, soul and rock music from The Right Amount and a fireworks display at The Canyons’ New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Rail Jam Celebration. All events are free and open to the public.

5 to 7 p.m.: Rockin’ Rail Jam Invitational
7 to 7:30 p.m.: The funk-soul-rock band The Right Amount performs
7:30 to 7:45 p.m.: Fireworks display
7:45 to 9 p.m.: The Right Amount returns to the stage

At the Eccles Center
The Boulder, Colo.-based acrobat group, Frequent Flyers, will perform at The Eccles Center from Saturday, Dec. 29 through Monday, Dec. 31. The performance on Saturday, Dec. 29 will be at 4 p.m.; the other performances will be held at 8 p.m. Presented by the Park City Performing Arts Foundation, the group will combine original low-flying trapeze acrobatics with dance to create a performance suitable for all ages. Dance to a team of deejays at The Star Bar New Year’s Eve. The bar will host DJ Soulkutz and DJ Green from Las Vegas and DJ Danny Boy from Park City. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 day of.
