Rotating power outages underway in Summit County

Update: Rocky Mountain Power reports rotating outages in Summit County have ended as of approximately 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
There were 5,319 Rocky Mountain Power customers in Summit County without power as of 10 a.m. Wednesday as a result of damage from the Tuesday windstorm or rotating outages that were underway as the company makes repairs.
A Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson said approximately 3,500 of the customers were impacted by the rotating outages. The rotating outages started Wednesday morning and are planned throughout the day. Jeff Hymas, the spokesperson, said the company plans to keep each rotating outage to approximately one hour. Rocky Mountain Power did not have a precise timeline for affected neighborhoods.
Crews are repairing two transmission lines damaged by the wind, he said.
According to a Rocky Mountain Power online posting, the outages are impacting customers in the following ZIP codes: 84060, 84017, 84018, 84033, 84098 and 84036.
