Save the music for elementary students

The Park City School of Music is organizing an after-school instrumental music program for all fourth- and fifth-grade students in the Park City area. Due to recent district budget cuts, the public schools will not be able to continue to provide this opportunity. Professional instruction in orchestra, band, choir and piano ensembles will be offered twice a week at a rate of $200-300 per semester. Students will share their progress in concerts at the end of each semester. Several organizational meetings will be held over the next two weeks to receive input from parents. The plan is to begin instruction by the end of September. Summerhays Music has generously offered an instrument rental discount for participants and will provide a convenient "Rental Day" here in Park City. All interested parents should contact Eric or Alison Samuels at (435) 658-4943 or email .
