The Good Books Reading Group
The Good Books reading group will discuss Alice Munro’s award-wining collection of short stories, "Too Much Happiness," on Thursday, July 21, at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Av. from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. Everyone is welcome, and chocolate is served.
Park City International Music Festival Showcase
A chamber music showcase, featuring the pieces Schickele Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Cello and Piano, Mozart Piano Quartet in E flat Major, will be performed July 14 at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15 and $20 at the door. Dark Horse Company Theatre’s "Gypsy: The Legendary Musical" will run Fridays, Saturday and Sundays, through July 31, at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main Street. Friday and Saturday curtain is 8 p.m. Sunday’s curtain is 6 p.m. Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets for children aged 12 and younger are $15. Summit County Art and Artisan Show
The Summit County Art and Artisan Show will be held at Cattlmen’s Hall, 911 W. Center Street, in Oakley on July 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Friends of Animals Utah 5-K9 Fun Run and Bark in the Park
The Friends of Animals Utah 5-K9 Fun Run will take place at Willow Creek Park on July 16 beginning at 8 a.m. Participants can run with or without a dog. All dogs must be leashed. Registration is $30. Online registration is open at http://www.active.com until midnight, July 14. In-person registration will take place at Willow Creek Park on July 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Day-of registration runs from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Late-comers will not be timed.
