Kimball Art Center presents Art Talk – "The Art and Making of Television" on Thursday, July 21, at 6 p.m. in the Main Gallery. The talk will be presented by producer/expedition leader Chris Fischer, director Rich Christensen and underwater videographer/chef, David Olsen. The event is free.
Summit County Public Art Advisory Board
The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board is looking to fill two vacancies. Applicants must be residents of Summit County with an interest in public art. Residents with an art or art education background, teaching background, or public-relations background are also encouraged to apply. Terms are for three years. Calling Local Artists Platinum Lounge is seeking local artists to help celebrities and guest paint and decorate a pair of TOMS shoes during the Art-n-Sole fundraiser on Aug. 27 at the Jupiter Bowl. The event will help raise money for the Chris Maddux Film Scholarship and raise awareness for TOMS Shoes’ "One for One Movement," which provides shoes for impoverished children around the world. ‘The Princess Bride’
Prospector ARTS Books on Stage will present "The Princess Bride" from July 21 to July 30 at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Saturdays will also feature a 2 p.m. matinee. No performances on Sunday. Advance tickets are $7 at pbride2011.eventbrite.com. Tickets – $6 for children, $7 for seniors and students, $9 for adults and $39 for a family pass – will be available at the door.
