Ready, set: NORBA
Deer Valley Resort will host its 11th NORBA (National Off-Road Bicycle Association) National Championship Series today through Sunday, June 17. Deer Valley will be the fifth stop on the national series. Some of the world’s best mountain bikers of all ages will participate. Events will include cross country, downhill, super D, slalom, short track and kids’ races. Eccles is preparing a new menu for 10th season
Last week, The Eccles Center for the Performing Arts unveiled its contenders for its 10th season at a sponsor party.

Of 30 potential performing artists, 15 will be selected. At last week’s gala on Wednesday, six shows received full sponsorship, including singers Paula Cole, Suzanne Vega, a musical based on the life of Janis Joplin called "Love, Janis." Also fully sponsored were "Complexions Contemporary Ballet," a modern dance company, "FROGZ," a family show featuring playful giant frogs and "Children of Agape," an African children’s choir.
