Annual Willow Harvest

The Swaner EcoCenter is seeking volunteers to cut, trim, and transport willow branches along East Canyon Creek on March 24 from 9 a.m.-noon. Volunteers will harvest dormant willows, which will be planted later this spring along other streams in need of restoration. For more information or to volunteer, contact Sean at or (435) 252-3577.

Youthlinic Benefit

This year’s Youthlinic Benefit will be held Thursday, March 31, 5:30 p.m. at the Kimball Arts Center. Admission is $25 per person. This year’s benefit will feature a silent auction of items from Kenya, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, and Peru, as well as local items from Park City and Heber City and a trip to Guatemala. Friends of Animals volunteers

Friends of Animals Utah is looking for volunteers to help furry friends waiting for adoption. The local nonprofit needs people to walk dogs, socialize with the animals, and assist with pet care and cleanup. Thomas the Tank Engine

Tickets are now on sale for Heber Valley Railroad’s "Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011," featuring Thomas the Tank Engine. The approximately 25-minute train ride, beginning May 26, with Thomas will depart every 45 minutes, rain or shine, with varying departure times each day.
