Annual Willow Harvest

The Swaner EcoCenter is seeking volunteers to cut, trim, and transport willow branches along East Canyon Creek on March 24 from 9 a.m.-noon. Volunteers will harvest dormant willows which will be planted later this spring along other streams in need of restoration. Kimball Art Center Art Talk

Kimball Art Center’s Art Talk, "If These Shoes Could Talk," featuring excerpts from stories by the Ecker Hill International Middle School sixth-grade language art class, will be held at the Kimball Art Center, 638 Park Avenue, on Thursday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Monthly Gallery Stroll

On the last Friday of each month, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., members of the Park City Gallery Association offer a unique monthly showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits, and art events. The last Friday Gallery Stroll is a free community event that gives locals and Park City visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while exploring Park City’s exciting art scene. Sundance Resort Author Series

The Sundance Resort Author Series will feature Liz Murray, author of "Breaking Night: a Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard" on March 26, at noon. Tickets are $75 and include the lecture and discussion, a signed copy

Pond Skimming contest

The annual Pond Skimming contest will be the first event of Spring Grüv on Saturday, March 26. The Pond Skimming Contest is Canyons’ most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. The contest will start at noon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at One Sweet Ride.
