Utah historian Will Bagley, author of "Blood of the Prophets: Brigham Young and the Massacre at Mountain Meadows" and the 2011 Western Heritage Award-winning "So Rugged and Mountainous: Blazing the Trails to Oregon and California. 1812-1848," will speak about the Graet Western Trails at the Park City Museum on Thursday, March 31, at 6 p.m. The lecture is free with Museum membership or daily admission.
SYRCL’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival
SYRCL’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival, featuring Bill Haney’s "The Last Mountain," will take place at the Jim Santy Auditorium on the Park City Library Building, 1255 Park Ave., on Thursday, March 31. The festival is a benefit for the Summit Land Conservancy. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the film screenings or $30 for the films and after-screening reception. Tickets can be purchased by visiting http://www.summitlandconservancy.org or at the door.
Peace House Community Lunch Peace House will hold its 2nd Annual "Passport to Peace House" Community Lunch on Thursday, April 7, at Temple Har Shalom. The event will begin at noon and is scheduled to last an hour. The lunch will feature speakers focused on Peace House’s education program. In addition, 16-year-old singer/songwriter Karsyn Robb will perform her award-winning song "You Told Me." Boxed lunches are courtesy of Whole Foods Market. MusicGarage Summer Pre-enrollment
Pre-enrollment for the Utah Arts Alliance’s jazz, blues metal or rock music day camps is open through May 1. The camps will be held at MusicGarage.Org, 2191 South 300 West in Salt Lake City, and will include instruction by some of Utah’s top musicians, after-school music program graduates and university-level music students.
