Swaner Field Trip Volunteers Needed

Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter needs volunteers to help lead field trips on the Preserve. Become an expert frog hunter, bug wrangler, and farm guide. Field trips are scheduled from May 17 through June 3 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 2:30 p.m. Volunteer trainings are May 10 from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. or May 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Contact Savannah at 435-252-3583 or email .

Utah Music Festival and School

The Utah Music Festival and School is holding registration for its summer camp that will be held from July 5 through Aug. 28. The summer camp introduces young musicians to coaching and performing with some of the finest soloists, chamber musicians, performers and teachers from Utah and the nation’s leading classical and jazz ensembles. Utah Mountain Bluebird Trails Volunteers

A local conversation project is looking for dedicated volunteers to work for Utah Mountain Bluebird Trails. Several positions are needed for trail monitors. This is a weekly commitment to check nesting boxes during the spring/summer season. A general knowledge of birds is helpful, however training is offered. Contact Letitia Lussier (808) 269-6171

Library Used Book Sale

Friends of the Summit County Libraries annual used book sale will be held at the Kimball Junction Branch on Memorial Day Weekend. The Friends preview will be held May 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the public sale runs May 27, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 29 from noon to 5 p.m. and May 30 from noon to 5 p.m. Bring an old FOL bag and fill it for $12 or buy a new FOL bag and fill it for $15 Thursday through Saturday.
